Island Drifter is a 25-foot
wood motorsailer, built in
1978 in Victoria by Outer
Harbor Marine Ways. It was
designed by Kurt Frost, in
the style of North Sea fishing
vessels, known for their
seaworthiness.
From this original wood hull a mold was made and a few fiberglass models were produced in the following years. Although its bright mahogany house was beautiful, the condition of the varnish had deteriorated and we opted to paint it instead.
